Donald McNichol Sutherland CC (born July 17, 1935) is a Canadian actor and anti-war activist whose film career spans over seven decades. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Sutherland began his acting career in the early 1960s, gaining recognition for his role in the 1967 film "The Dirty Dozen." He has since starred in over 150 films, including "M*A*S*H" (1970), "Ordinary People" (1980), and "JFK" (1991).
